Descendants hold annual reunion

The descendants of Luther and Dora Stockton held their annual reunion July 29 in the Gee-Price Center at Fuqua School. Mrs. Rhonda S. Rowland had planned a wonderful day for all.
Those enjoying the activities were Richard and Margaret Stockton, of Tuggle, Coy Lee and Judy Harris, of Flag Pond, Tennessee, Iva and Mike Sizemore, of Chase City, Don Higgins, of Roanoke, Gerri and Danny Newcomb, of Buffalo Junction, Cameron and Carol Shelton, of North Chesterfield, Wilkie Chaffin, of Pamplin, Lon and Mary Jo Stockton Jr., of Farmville, Brian Price, of Baskerville, Kathy Higgins and two daughters, of Texas, Meg and Jeff Eastman, of Midlothian, Caitlyn Shelton and Maggie Shelton, of North Chesterfield, Sean Stockton, of Farmville, Elliott, Ansel and Melinda Eastman, of Midlothian, and Morgan Price, of Baskerville. Those not present were greatly missed.
On Sunday afternoon, Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Smith hosted a family luncheon at their home. Guests included Pat’s cousin, Annette Frascati Schimmel, and her friend, Dennis McPhipps, visiting from New York.
Also attending were Pat’s brother and his wife, Kevin and Heather Keaveny from Unionville and the Smith’s daughter and her son, Emma Sharpe and Jeffrey from Hopewell. Additional family members attending were the Smith’s son and his family, Charles and Dianna, Charles, Christina and Brianna, Josh and Natalie Pearl from Keysville.
Mrs. Flora Bolt visited with Mrs. Frances Anderson last Monday.
On July 27, Richard and Margaret Stockton traveled to the Cheesecake Factory in Richmond where they met with cousins Del F. Lorimor and Tonya F. Mercier, of Florida, Becky Goin, of Appomattox, Michelle Paulson, of Chester, Allison Goin, of Richmond, Pam Clark and aunt Gwen Paulson, of Chester.
Friends and neighbors are praying for a speedy recovery for Frances Anderson, Don Meadows, Frances P. Motley and Betty Jean Bolt.
The members of Appomattox P.E. Presbyterian Church at Tuggle invite you to worship with them each Sunday. Harlan Austin will be the guest speaker at Appomattox P.E. Presbyterian Church this Sunday.
The membership of Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church at Prospect invites you to come and worship with them every Sunday. Sunday school is at 10 a.m. with worship at 11 a.m.
Calvary Chapel-Farmville invites you to worship with them on Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m. They invite you to join them each week on Wednesday evening for Bible Study for all age groups at 7 p.m. The church is located at 302 Industrial Park Road, in the former Stackpole-Carbone building.
The Remnant Church invites you to worship with them on Wednesday nights at 6:30 p.m., Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m. and Sunday nights at 6:30 p.m. The pastor is Jeff Spencer. The church is located at 1825 E. Third St. Farmville in the old Cedar Brook Restaurant building.
