In November the citizens of half the county’s voting districts in Prince Edward will have the opportunity to vote for their representatives on the school board.

The five candidates for these positions — Lucy Carson, Dione Jennings, Elzora Stiff, Dr. Timothy Corbett and Cainan Townsend — have been invited to meet the citizens this Saturday at an ice cream social.

It is planned for 3-5 p.m. at the caboose on the High Bridge Plaza on Main Street in Farmville.

The Southside Virginia Tea Party Patriots is sponsoring this free event and the public is invited. Please take advantage of this informal event, chat with your school board candidates and have some ice cream with your neighbors.
