Gymnastics is a great way to learn key things in life. Skills acquired include physical development (strength, flexibility, balance and coordination), social development (interaction with other children, enhancing cooperative group participation, following directions and building friendships), intellectual development (building strong listening skills, developing longer attention spans, reinforcing problem-solving skills and learning to take risks) and emotional development (handling success and failure and expressing feelings).
Fall sessions will begin by the end of September. This program is more for beginners and minor advanced. The class fills quickly, so be sure to register early. Cost is $40 for six weeks for ages 3-14 (and is co-ed). For quick and easy registration, visit www.buckinghamrec.net.

Are you a farmer? Do you need a loan? Farm Service Agency (FSA) Farm Loan programs are considered supervised credit. Unlike loans from a commercial lender, FSA loans are intended to be temporary in nature. Therefore, the goal to help borrowers graduate to commercial credit, and farm loan staff is available to help borrowers through training and credit counseling.
The FSA team will help borrowers identify their goals to ensure financial success. Through this process, FSA staff will advise borrowers in developing strategies and a plan to meet operational goals and graduate to commercial credit. Ultimately, the borrower is responsible for the success of the farming operation, but FSA’s staff will help in an advisory role to provide the tools necessary to help achieve operational goals and manage finances. Borrower training is also available for all farm service agency customers.
This training is required for all direct loan applicants, unless the applicant has a waiver issued by the agency. Borrower training includes instruction in production and financial management. The purpose is to help the applicant develop and improve skills that are necessary to successfully operate a farm and build equity in the operation. It aims to help the producer become financially successful. Borrower training is provided, for a fee, by agency approved vendors. For more information, contact Farm Loan Manager Karl Hess at the Mecklenburg County FSA Office at (434) 738-6133, ext. 5.
