FARMVILLE — The Riverside Chest Clinic on West Third Street in Farmville will close at the end of June, according to a letter sent to patients by Lynchburg Pulmonary Associates.

“Last fall one of our doctors left the area and we have not been successful in recruiting a replacement,” officials said in the letter. “Our doctors are spread thin as they work to accommodate the practice’s inpatient and outpatient responsibilities.”

According to the letter, the company made the decision to close its Farmville location following the Centra employment of a “talented” pulmonologist.

The letter noted the company would see patients at its Lynchburg office, and can schedule follow up appointments at any time.
