Children’s day camp set

The American Civil War Museum and Appomattox Court House National Historical Park will partner for their annual Children’s Civil War Day Camps in Appomattox.
According to a press release, a camp for ages 8-10 will run June 19-20, while a camp for ages 11-13 will run June 21-22. The first day of each camp will take place at the museum, located at 159 Horseshoe Road in Appomattox, while the second day of each camp will take place at the National Park, located at 111 National Park Dr. in Appomattox. Both camps run from 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. each day.
“Campers will discover what life was like during the American Civil War through various demonstrations and activities,” officials said in the release. Cost is $10 per child.
