Happy birthday wishes go out this week to the following: Winnie Brown, of Dillwyn, Friday; Charles Yates, of Dillwyn, Sunday; Patsy Miles, of Cumberland, and Dean Catlett, of New Canton, Monday.

The 39th Annual Hudgins Family Reunion will be held Sunday, May 21 at 1 p.m. at the home of James and Virginia Boyles, of Cumberland. All family members and their guests are asked to attend and bring their favorite covered dish.

The Cumberland County Community Food Bank, partnering with the Central Virginia Food Bank — a FeedMore Program of Richmond — will be distributing food to Cumberland County residents, including Cartersville, Monday from 11:30 a.m. until all food is gone.

The food will be given away at the old Cumberland County Elementary School cafeteria next door to the gym at 1874 Anderson Hwy.

You must have already registered to get food or you must see Director Jerry Seal. All food recipients are asked to bring bags.
