A 59-year-old Rice man was arrested Friday on charges of production of child pornography, indecent liberties by a custodian and aggravated sexual battery.

Parker Lamar Orfield is being held at Piedmont Regional Jail without bond, according to a press release from the Prince Edward County Sheriff’s Office.

“The investigation began after a complaint was filed with the sheriff’s office on April 6 in reference to the sexual assault of a 7-year-old female,” police said in the release.
