FARMVILLE — The Town of Farmville will host a community meeting Wednesday to discuss the town’s parks and recreation study that is currently underway.
The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in the town council’s chambers of the Town Hall, located at 116 N. Main St.
“The study includes a needs assessment that will help us determine the programs and facilities that need to be updated or added in order to better serve the community,” said Town Manager Gerald Spates.
According to a press release, representatives from the external company completing the study, Land Planning & Design, will gather input to help determine parks and recreation priorities for the community.
“This is a great opportunity for folks to come out and tell us what programs they are interested in and to share their views on how we can make parks and rec even better,” said Director of Parks and Recreation Chris Bolt.
In the release, the town urges citizens to attend the meeting and share their ideas. “All are welcome, including residents, non-residents and students.”
