I am Holt Mason. I am 12 years old, and I am a sixth grader going to Fuqua School, and I am writing to you today as I learn about being a citizen for communication merit badge.

I have realized lately that gas prices have risen over the last few years.

My dad told me one night that, “I could go to the gas station and buy gas for $1.88.” That still seems expensive.

I hope in the future, we continue to have low, competitive gas prices in our area and that business owners help recognize the problem.

If so, we will have more economy-friendly gas prices and maybe then we will try to make a better fuel to protect the environment.
