‘It’s time to put politics away’ for spring

It’s time to put politics away and start the outboard engines and electric motors, or put on the waders and head over to the lakes, rivers and ponds. This is a great time of year. First the red buds, then the Dogwoods blossom. Then, with all those flowers, the bugs start their cycle. They eat until they can’t possibly eat any more.
Then they make babies until they totally exhaust themselves.
And then, after all that fun and excitement, those fat little insects crash, falling down into lakes, streams and ponds, where hungry predator fish just wait for them to appear — along with fishermen and women, rod in hand.
