FARMVILLE — The Town of Farmville will give away trees Saturday, March 25 in celebration of Arbor Day.

The celebration comes after Mayor David E. Whitus signed a proclamation designating March 25 as Farmville’s Arbor Day.

“The town … will give away bare-root seedlings to celebrate,” officials said in a press release. “The free trees will be distributed … at the town-operated Farmers Market on North Street from 9 a.m.-noon. Seedlings available this year include the White Dogwood, Chinese Chestnut and Common Apple.”
