Central Virginia Arts (CVA) is currently featuring the work of Crewe residents Karla Ellington and Donna Gholson Taylor in an exhibit continuing through April 1.
Their work is on display at Riverside Café, 522 N. Main Street, Farmville, from 6:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
At their reception in February, many viewed the artists’ photography and paintings while enjoying refreshments prepared by CVA members.
“Ellington began her professional photography career six years ago when she developed ‘Backpack Memories Photography: Shot by Karla,’” according to a press release.
“Taylor’s favorite medium is watercolor, but she also enjoys working with acrylics, pastels, charcoal and photography.”
CVA, a partner of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, is a regional organization designed for artists and art appreciators. Lectures, workshops, exhibits, tours and social events are offered throughout the year. Those interested should call Richard McClintock at (434) 223-8322 for more information.
