A stabbing reported last week remains under investigation, according to Farmville Police Department (FPD) Chief A.Q. “Andy” Ellington.
The incident reportedly took place around midnight Thursday.
According to Ellington, police responded to a home in the 600 block of Longwood Avenue after receiving a 911 call that a person had been stabbed.
“Once officers arrived on scene, the victim indicated they had been stabbed by an unknown subject when the victim answered the door,” he said.
Ellington said the case remains under investigation. “There are no confirmed suspects at this time, nor have any arrests been made,” according to Ellington.
There does not appear to be any credible threat to the public, he said.
