Robert ‘Bob’ Joseph Laird, of Farmville, passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2017. He is survived by his wife, Ruth; sons, William and Robert; and daughter, Ellen.

Bob is remembered by his service to his country in the US Navy during World War II, and for establishing a highly-regarded printing business in the post-war years. He was an expert bowler and enjoyed woodworking and scale-model shipbuilding.

A funeral service was held Monday, February 6 at Amelia Veterans Cemetery in Amelia.
