The Virginia Cooperative Extension is offering a pond series, with the first workshop covering site selection, planning, permitting and construction of a farm or recreational pond. The workshop will be held on Feb. 23, from noon-5 p.m. (lunch provided) at the B.A.R.N. facility in Buckingham. The cost is $5 per person and will be collected on the day of the event. 

Featured speakers will consist of representatives from the Virginia Cooperative Extension, Peter Francisco Soil & Water Conservation District, Army Corps of Engineers, Department of Conservation and Recreation Dam Safety and the Department of Environmental Quality.
