Do’s and don’ts of human food for dogs: Cheese is ok in small moderate quantities as long as your dog isn’t lactose intolerant. Also you might want to stick to low fat varieties such as cottage cheese or mozzarella. Do not give your dog cherries they are toxic. Cherries contain cyanide which disrupts cellular oxygen transport. It will cause dilated pupils and difficulty breathing. Another sign is red gums.
Annie May Miles is the columnist for Trent’s Mill. Her email address is fatcat091@verizon.net.
