The Piedmont Area Veterans Council and Community Resources (PAVC) is a volunteer organization that assists active duty service members, veterans and their family members in Amelia, Buckingham, Charlotte, Cumberland, Nottoway, Lunenburg and Prince Edward counties.
PAVC will host an Agent Orange Symposium to pay tribute to Vietnam Era Veterans and their families. The symposium is free and open to the public. Veterans of all eras and their family members are encouraged to attend.
Thanks to the generosity of President and CEO Sharon Harrup, the event will be held at the STEPS Center, 225 Industrial Park Road in Farmville on Dec. 10 from 1-4 p.m. The event will include live entertainment performed by Kenny Rowe, an Army/National Guard Veteran from Fife. There will also be special guest speakers and multiple organizations represented. Refreshments and door prizes will be provided.
