A Farmville Police Department (FPD) officer, far right, carries off a suspicious black box from the corner of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Hall on Graham Road off South Main Street on Monday morning. The box turned out to be an old radio. The suspicious box was reported at about 8:30 a.m. Along with FPD officers, members of a bomb squad also responded, according to FPD Lt. Johnny Garrett. Law enforcement determined the box was an old radio after X-raying it. Graham Road was closed during the incident.
