Our thoughts and prayers go out this week to all those sick and shut-in in our community and surrounding counties.
Our sympathy is extended to the England family of Dillwyn. Billy Ken England, age 80, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Sept. 30. A memorial service was held on Saturday, Oct. 8, at Jones Chapel Baptist Church of Cumberland. He will be greatly missed by all. He will be remembered as a Christian with his loving, caring, understanding ways. His great testimony and love for his family and others will live on.

Do’s and don’ts of human food for dogs: 1. Bread is OK in small amounts. Use only plain bread. No health benefit and because it packs on pounds. 2. Cinnamon: it contains oils that irritate the inside of a dog’s mouth. It can affect heart rate and promotes liver disease, lowers blood sugar, causes diarrhea and vomiting.
