Issue-based politics arrived in Farmville in a very visible way.
On Monday evening, a Co-ops Vote sign truck traveled through downtown Farmville, parking at High and Main streets.
The promotional truck came as Longwood University prepared to host the only 2016 Vice Presidential Debate on Tuesday.
According to its website, Co-ops Vote “is a non-partisan project of America’s Electric Cooperatives designed to inform its members on the key issues facing electric co-ops and encourage them to vote and support their co-ops and the communities they serve when they go to the polls.”
The group does not endorse or recommend any candidates for election, according to its website.
