CHS’ Grubbs places third in 1A state golf tourney

Grubbs shot a 76 in the first round Monday and a 77 in the second round Tuesday at Heritage Oaks Golf Course. It was part of a strong finish to his high school career that included his winning the Region 1A East Championship on Oct. 3, being named the regional Player of the Year and also winning the Conference 42 tournament for the second consecutive year.
