CUMBERLAND — County supervisors in Cumberland have unanimously agreed to issue a conditional use permit allowing an event barn to be built at 525 Holman Mill Road. The permit applicant for the indoor and outdoor facility was Robbie Lipscomb, and the owners of the 61.7-acre parcel are Larry and Deborah Thompson. The property is zoned A-2, agricultural, according to county documents. The permit, along with its 10 conditions, came from the planning commission, which unanimously recommended approval. The property covered by the permit is 1.7 acres. According to the county’s comprehensive plan, the location is not in a growth area.
