Heritage Baptist Church featured the ordination of Samuel B. Rabon into the gospel ministry during its Aug. 28 worship service.

The church did so, following the unanimous recommendation of the Southside Baptist Association’s ordination task group. The group met with Rabon and examined him on a number of topics concerning his call to ministry and his doctrinal beliefs.

Rabon is not only a member of Heritage Baptist Church, but was employed as youth and children’s pastor from 2005-2014, during which he completed his Master of Divinity in Student Ministry from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, N.C.
