Lorena T. ‘Red’ Jones

Lorena T. Jones passed away on September 8, 2016. She was born April 16, 1936 to the late Cornelius and Julia Troxler. She was a member of Forest Baptist Church.

She leaves to cherish precious memories her two sons, Ronnie (Solange) of Hanover and Dexter, of the home; three daughters, Earlene, Debbie (Floyd), and Wendy (Daniel), all of Meherrin; a brother, Freddie (Mary) Troxler; two sisters-in-law, Bessie Jones and Velma Jones, both of Baltimore, MD; 16 grandchildren, Chris, Vernita, Anthony, Jeremy, Bridget, Bianca, Brittany, Brandon, Michael, Kayla, Daniel, Vanessa, Roger Pride Jr. (B2), Rhesa, El Nathan, and Carshena; 10 great-grandchildren, Vanity, Ty, Xavier, Isaiah, Hayleigh, Addison, Kristina, Malachi, Jacoby and Jaleel, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A funeral service was held Thursday, September 15 at Forest Baptist Church, Meherrin, with the Rev. Otis R. Spellman, pastor.
