The Buckingham County High School (BCHS) track and field and cross country programs will host a run/walk-a-thon at the BCHS track 10 a.m.-noon Saturday. The event is intended to raise funds so the programs can buy timing equipment and other items needed to ensure  their home meets run effectively. Run/walk-a-thon participants must sign up, get sponsors and hit the track to run, walk or do a combination of both for an hour.

There will be water and Powerade/Gatorade pit stops available for all participants, music, prizes, $5 back or leg massages, field activity games and custom running bibs awarded to the first 100 registrants.
