The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced its academic awards list, with Longwood University’s 2015-16 men’s tennis team earning a spot on this year’s ITA All-Academic Teams list. In addition to the team honor, 2016 Longwood graduate Bharani Sankar, rising senior Florian Uffer and rising junior Lachlan Manser also received recognition for individual academic achievements.
For a team to be considered for the ITA All-Academic Team award, a program must maintain a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.20, while an individual must be a varsity letter winner, maintain a GPA of at least 3.50 for that academic year and must be enrolled at the school for at least two semesters to be considered for the ITA Scholar-Athlete honor.
