Clara E. Clements

Clara E. Clements, 91, of Farmville, retired VDOT employee, passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2016. She was employed by the Virginia Department of Transportation as a senior secretary for 46 ½ years. She was a member of Olive Branch United Methodist Church where she had served as Sunday school superintendent, Sunday school teacher, president of the United Methodist Women, member of the choir and secretary and treasurer of the Cemetery Association.

Ms. Clements attended Prospect High School and graduated from Farmville High School and attended State Teachers College (now Longwood University) in Farmville.

She is survived by a sister, Lula Brisentine of California; Raymond Agee of Dillwyn, a loving and faithful friend; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, George C. Clements and Vernelle Price Clements and a sister, Mary C. Noblin.

A funeral service was held on Friday, August 12 in the Chapel of Puckett Funeral Home with interment in Westview Cemetery.
