The Ruth Adams Garden Club celebrated the end of the club year on May 25 with a covered-dish picnic at the home of Sharon Carter-McKenney.
Co-hostess was LouAnn Dumminger.
Officers for the 2016-17 year were installed. Members enjoyed the delicious food and fellowship in a beautiful lakeside setting. In addition to creating beautiful arrangements throughout the year, members learned to identify native Virginia trees, learned about bees and their importance to gardening, learned to identify wildflowers and decorated gourds with alcohol ink.
