‘Run for your Life’ 5K set at High Bridge

High Bridge Trail State Park will host the annual “Run for your Life” 5K in celebration of National Trails Day on Saturday, June 4, at 8 a.m. The out and back race course will start at the Camp Paradise access to High Bridge Trail, which is found off of Aspen Hill Road 1.7 miles from route 460. Walkers are also welcome.
The top three finishers in each age category will receive awards. The top overall male and female finishers will receive a free weekend cabin stay in a Virginia State Park. A free kids fun run across High Bridge will be included at the event.
Walkers are also welcome. The 5K is sponsored by Centra Southside Community Hospital and is in partnership with the Friends of High Bridge Trail and the Southside Virginia Family YMCA.
Registration before Friday, May 20, is $20. After May 20, the fee is $25. Proceeds support the Friends of High Bridge Trail. Parking fees apply at the event.
