Farmville Presbyterian Church members invite the community to join them for a special service in observance of Pentecost on Sunday, 11 a.m. at the Farmville Farmer’s Market on North Street. Pentecost is a holiday on which commemorates the coming of the Holy Spirit on the early followers of Jesus.
Elder Ed Kromer said, “It will be an informal service. In the Pentecost tradition, the wearing of red is encouraged. The Sacrament of Communion will be served by intinction, which means that the bread will be dipped into the juice so that they can be taken together. We hope you will join us.”
