AMELIA — Police in Amelia have arrested a 30-year-old Chesterfield man in connection with the murder of 19-year-old Richmond resident Shy’Nisha M. Walker who was found dead in Amelia on May 4.

According to a release from the Amelia County Sheriff’s Office, the U.S. Marshals Service and Amelia police arrested Stephon Lamarr Wallace in connection with Walker’s death.

The suspect has been charged with first-degree murder and is being held without bond, according to the release.

The sheriff’s office is calling the incident a murder. The investigation is ongoing, the release stated.
