Tom England, owner of Lucky’s Convenience Stores in Dillwyn and Scottsville, was recently honored by the Buckingham American Legion Post 134, along with members of the Buckingham Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), for his support of the two organizations over the past several years. Allen Ross, commander of the American Legion Post, presented England with a certificate of appreciation and challenge coin for the numerous donations he has provided to the post. “He always says, ‘I don’t want anything,’” Ross said of England. “‘I’m just there to help you guys.’” The Buckingham community is very lucky to have this good, community-minded business owner in the county, and we commend England for his generosity.
