Deloras ‘Betty’ Huddleston Puett

Deloras “Betty” Huddleston Puett, 84, of Powhatan, completed her life’s journey and went home to be with her Lord and Savior on April 22, 2016. She was born November 18, 1931, in Buckingham County, a daughter of the late Morton Sr. and Ola Trent Huddleston. She was a retired Accountant at the Beaumont Juvenile Learning Center.

Ms. Puett is survived by her son, Lee Puett Jr. (Liz); daughter, Debbie Melton (Bernie); six grandchildren, Toby Puett (Cynthia), Tasha Dunn (Greg), Blake Armstrong (Kim), Ansley Trent (Andy), McKenzie Davis and Grayson Melton; six great-grandchildren, Kaiyden, Dakota, Ben, Noah, Jordan and Sydni; three sisters, Zanie Jamerson (Jerry), Mary Butler and Sue Maxey (Thomas); and one brother, Joe Huddleston (Lorene). In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Morton Huddleston Jr. and Milton Huddleston.

Funeral services were held April 25 at the Dunkum Funeral Home with interment in the Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery.
