The board presented the resolution to the team for its hard work, dedication and ingenuity. According to the resolution, the team “successfully registered with First Robotics, constructed their first robot, spending … less than $40 and entered in competitions in Blacksburg and Portsmouth. …” The team, according to the resolution, won the Rookie Inspiration Award in Blacksburg and the Rookie All-Star Award in Portsmouth following the respective competitions. The rookie robotics team competed at the University of Maryland on last weekend, taking the 2016 Rookie Insipration Award for the Chesapeake District. We commend the supervisors for recognizing the team, thank the advisers and congratulate the team on their success.
