Woodrow Daniel Barton

Woodrow Daniel Barton, of Green Bay, 90, died Monday, February 29, 2016. Woodrow was born in Green Bay to George Dennis Barton and Mary Virginia Barton on June 11, 1925. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 56 years, Blannie Smith Barton.

He is survived by six sons, David Daniel Barton, Woodrow Clay Barton (Peggy), Timothy Wade Barton, Bobby Dean Barton (Jeanette), Billy Wayne Barton, and Donald Earl Barton; two daughters, Ruth Ellen

Lafferty (Don) and Carolyn Elizabeth Ailsworth (Jim); 20 grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; one brother, Tom Bruce Barton; and two sisters, Ida Dungan and Anna Allen.  He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Allen, Johnny, Lewis, and Fred Barton.

Mr. Barton was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Navy.  He was a member of Bethel Christian Church in Green Bay and was a teacher and deacon for 60 years.  He retired as owner and operator of a wood yard in Green Bay.

Funeral services will be held at Bethel Christian Church in Green Bay on Thursday, March 3 at 1 p.m.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
