Two busted for heroin in Farmville

Two Farmville women are charged with multiple counts of possessing and distributing drugs.
According to Farmville police, 56-year-old Mable D. Patterson and 41-year-old Shelby L. Wallace were arrested Wednesday following execution of a search warrant at the Town Motel, located at 1708 W. Third St.
Approximately 21 grams of suspected heroin and 4.9 grams of suspected cocaine, along with marijuana, prescription pills and a firearm, were seized.
“This was the result of an in depth investigation into suspected heroin distribution that recently became apparent in the area,” a press release stated. “The search warrants were a result of a combined effort between the Farmville Police Department and the Piedmont Regional Narcotics and Gang Enforcement Task Force.”
According to police, Patterson was charged with possession with the intent to distribute heroin, possession with the intent to distribute cocaine, possession of a firearm while in possession of a schedule I or II controlled substance, two counts of possession of a schedule I or II controlled substance and possession of marijuana.
Wallace was charged with three counts of distribution of heroin and one count of distribution of a schedule IV controlled substance, police said.
The investigation is ongoing.
