Thomas ‘Tom’ Nelson Morgan Jr.

Thomas “Tom” Nelson Morgan Jr., 72, of Richmond, passed away March 10, 2016. He was raised in Dillwyn.

He is survived by his wife, Aida; his daughter, Kathryn Munson and her husband, Christian; granddaughter, Madison; brothers, Allen Morgan, and wife, Sandy and Bruce Morgan, and wife, Lisa; sister, Becky Heath, and husband, Curtis; nephews, Justin, Spenser, Garrett, Nick and Michael; and niece, Blaire; sister-in-law, Norma Lloyd and her son, Cliff Martin.

He loved his family and was especially proud of his daughter and granddaughter. Tom worked at DuPont for 39 years. He avidly collected tobacco, fishing, antique toy and country store memorabilia. Tom also enjoyed visiting his small farm near Dillwyn and shooting the breeze with his good friend, Wilson Taylor. He loved antique auctions, Miller Genuine Draft, Disney World, power tools, projects, dogs and GMC trucks.

He will be missed.

The family will receive friends 4 to 5 p.m. Monday, March 21 at Bliley’s –Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Road, where a memorial ceremony will be held immediately after at 5 p.m. Interment will be private.
