The South Central Virginia Genealogical Society will meet on Saturday, April 9, at the American Civil War Museum, 159 Horseshoe Road, Appomattox (arrive by 1:15 p.m. to begin the tour at 1:30 p.m.).  After the tour attendees may research Civil War ancestors. The Pallas Athena Ladies Society will give a demonstration on how women assisted soldiers in the field. SCVGS meetings are open to all; there is a charge to visit the museum. Call Cora V.
