Registration open for baseball summer camp at LU

The Longwood University baseball coaching staff will host its 2016 Youth Baseball Camp for all students entering kindergarten through eighth grade June 6 through June 9 at Buddy Bolding Stadium.
The four-day summer camp will be from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. each day and feature drills led by the Longwood coaching staff that will develop hitting, fielding and throwing skills.
The clinic includes instructional segments on proper hitting and throwing mechanics, plus segments on proper glove work and footwork. The campers will end each day with a game between one another.
Campers should eat breakfast before the start of the day, bring their snacks, and come prepared with baseball pants, plastic spikes, tennis shoes, bat, glove, and helmet. Metal spikes are prohibited.
Campers will be grouped by age for the duration of the instructional part of camp. Check-in will run from 8:30-9 a.m. at Buddy Bolding stadium ahead of each day and pick-up will be from 12:30-1 p.m. The cost of attendance is $125 per camper.
Youth Baseball Camp Details
Any player in grades kindergarten through eighth grade who would like to learn the fundamentals of hitting, fielding and pitching. Campers will be instructed on proper hitting, fielding, and throwing mechanics. At the end of every day the camp will end with a game. To ensure safety, campers will be grouped by age.
Check-in will run from 8:30-9 a.m. June 6-9 at Charles Buddy Bolding Stadium.
The cost of attendance is $125 for each camper. Baseball activities will be conducted from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Camper pick-up will be from 12:30-1 p.m.
