Appomattox Court House National Historical Park, along with its philanthropic partner, Appomattox 1865 Foundation, announce a photo contest to celebrate the 100th birthday of the National Park Service.

Submit a photograph in one of six categories in a photo taken between April 1 and June 1 or submit an older photo before 1990 no later than midnight, June 30.  

Categories for submission include, black & white, pre-1990, winter season, wildlife, living history and historic landscape. Amateur photographers only, including adults and children, are encouraged to submit an entry.  The winners will be announced in the park on Aug. 25, the official 100th birthday of the National Park Service.
