Ferrum college defeated Hampden-Sydney College in tennis on Tuesday.
The final score was 9-0, brining Hampden-Sydney to an overall record of 1-3 and Ferrum to 5-3.

Harrison Stone (Durham, NC/Voyager) came within inches of winning the #2 singles flight. He won the first set 7-5 bot lost the second 6-2. In the tiebreaker, he staved off elimination at 9-8 by getting a big nine point, but Kevin Ramirez would earn the next two points to take the tiebreaker, and match, 11-9, the college said.
Hampden-Sydney will travel to Randolph College on Friday for a 3:30 p.m. match.
