Easter get-togethers enjoyed

Well the first three months of 2016 have passed — where did they go?
Jenny Persden, Mike and Joyce McPhillips, all of Richmond, visited with Hilda Allen March 12-19. A great time was had by all of them.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Smith and their children, Brianna, Charles Jr. and Christina hosted Easter dinner for his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Smith, and for Dianna’s mother, Joyce Trinner, and for Joshua Guill.
Jeff Smith took his grandchildren, Brianna, Charles and Christina Smith, to visit their great-grandfather, John Keaveny, in Unionville and then to see their great-grandmother, Dolores Smith, in Stafford on Monday.
Laurie A. Justus and son Jacob, of Damascus, visited her mother Hilda Allen, on March 25 to celebrate Hilda’s birthday. Along with Elfrieda Kerns, they enjoyed a birthday lunch at Charley’s Waterfront Café. Laurie and Jacob returned home on Saturday.
The Longwood Garden Club met at home of Linda Cheyne at Hampden Sydney for the March meeting. Peggy Kelsey received a blue ribbon on her horticulture entry.
Following Easter Sunday service Judy Bolt and her children, Chris and Jennifer, entertained Flora Bolt, Douglas Bolt, Steve and Terri Bolt, Haley Murdock, Payden Murdock, Brandon Bolt, Michaela Atkinson, Garland Woodson, and John Wallace Woodson of Henrico for lunch.
On March 15 Marie Self and Flora Bolt traveled to Appomattox where they had lunch at Granny Bee’s and toured part of the surrender grounds.
Flora Bolt, Judy Bolt and Jennifer Bolt attended the Farmville/Prince Edward Historical Society meeting on March 15. They enjoyed supper at McDonald’s.
Friends and neighbors are praying for a speedy recovery for Linda W. Campbell, Nancy Mottley, Scott Friend, Elfrieda Kerns, Betty Jean Bolt, Sean Stockton and Mildred Harvey Shanks.
Neighbors and friends are extending their heartfelt sympathy to the family of Mrs. Hilda Friend. She will be missed by those who knew her.
The Rev. Buddy Woodson will speak at Appomattox P.E. Presbyterian Church at Tuggle Sunday.
The Rev. Caitilin Hoy will be at Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church in Prospect Sunday; Sunday school is at 10 a.m. with worship at 11a.m.
Calvary Chapel-Farmville, 302 Industrial Park Road, invites you to worship Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m.
