Dr. Jain to join Centra’s Stroobants Cardiovascular Center

Centra is pleased to announce Dr. Rakesh Jain will be joining the Centra Medical Group Stroobants Cardiovascular Center in Farmville in April.
Jain earned his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Medicine from State University of New York at Buffalo. He went on to serve his internship and residency at the Veterans Administration Medical Center at the Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C. It was there that he served as the chief resident for internal medicine as well as his fellowship in cardiology. He followed that with an Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at the Medical College of Virginia Hospital in Richmond, which included specialization in complex coronary angioplasty, peripheral angioplasty, valvuloplasty and atherectomy.
Jain is board-certified in cardiovascular disease and internal medicine through the American College of Cardiology, American Board of Internal Medicine and Virginia Board of Examiners. Jain will specialize in interventional cardiology.
