The current status of the new Buckingham County library is very similar to the current presidential candidates’ fighting and feuding over who will be best for the country.

According to the news media, if you happen to see Bernie Sanders or Donald Trump as your favorite, you are an idiot and your voice should not be heard, regardless of what the voters have said.

The establishment, including both Democrats and Republicans, don’t care for the current voting records and are crying like babies. The last I heard is that the voters are always right in a democracy.

Stop this nonsense right now and put it on a referendum for the voters of Buckingham to decide one way or the other, and yes, I do realize that the Virginia General Assembly must approve all referendums, and it is currently in session. End of story.

As we are all aware, this upcoming election is a presidential election, so voter turnout should be large. What a better way to find out if the people of Buckingham are willing to pay for a new library or not.
