Local food distributions planned

Happy anniversary to Wayne and Tempy Davenport of Dillwyn (Feb. 14) and Mike and Joy Yoder of Cumberland (Feb. 16).
Barry and Linda Miles and Jane Cooke, of Cumberland, and Annie May Miles, of Dillwyn, visited James and Virginia Boyles of Cumberland. They all enjoyed a meal at a Dillwyn restaurant Feb. 6.
Loaves of Love food pantry, operated by the Seven Day Adventist Church in Cartersville, will hold the next food distribution Thursday, 2-4 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 21 (bring two forms of ID). The Spreading God’s Gifts, Inc. Valentine’s Dinner has been rescheduled for Saturday, 5-7 p.m. (eat in or take out) at First Baptist Church, Dillwyn with dinner music by Denise Bryant, of Buckingham. Everyone is welcome.
Buckingham Baptist Church, 24234 N. James Madison Hwy. will hold a Valentine’s Day dinner and movie on Sunday at 5 p.m. with a suggested donation of $8 for adults and $4 for children 10 and under. Proceeds will benefit the Youth Department.
Sympathy is extended to the family of Pauline Dunkum LeSueur, age 90, of Dillwyn. A funeral service was held Feb. 7. at Browns Chapel United Methodist Church of Dillwyn. She will be greatly missed by all.
The Buckingham County Christian Fellowship Association has rescheduled their meeting for Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at Teresa’s Place, Dillwyn. All members are invited. For more call (804) 492-5806.
Fitzgerald Baptist Church of Cumberland, partnering with Central Virginia Food Bank Feed More Program of Richmond, will hold a food distribution for Cumberland and Cartersville residents Monday, Feb. 22, starting at noon at Southworth Power & Equipment, 1273 Anderson Hwy., Cumberland. You must be registered or see director Jerry Seal. Food recipients are asked to bring bags. USDA foods will also be distributed.
