Heather Phaup Loveday

Heather Phaup Loveday, 40, of Farmville, and formerly of Roanoke, was freed from her pain and went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 16, 2016. She was born on August 14, 1975.

Heather was the cherished daughter of the Rev. Robert W. and Lisa M. Phaup and wife of Corey H. Loveday and devoted mother of Chandler T. McSherry, Grace E. McSherry and Madison E. McSherry. Heather was preceded in death by her grandparents, the Rev. G.R. and Ethel Phaup of Farmville and Horace and Hazel Cochran of Roanoke. She is survived by her husband, Corey H. Loveday of Farmville; her parents, the Reverend Robert and Lisa Phaup of Farmville; brothers, Richard Phaup of Wytheville, Chad Phaup and Joshua Phaup of Farmville; sister, Kristi P. Fitzgerald and husband, James of Farmville; nieces, Cortney Phaup and Brittany Phaup; nephew, Tyler Phaup and numerous special cousins.

Heather was employed by New Life School of Farmville. She loved her work with the school and also with the Discover the Joy Team (ladies ministry) of the Shenandoah District of the Wesleyan Church. She was a long-time member of the Wesleyan Church and more recently Concord Baptist Church. She also loved cooking for her family, hunting, photography and everything outdoors.

Heather also leaves behind four very special furry friends, Bella, Jackson, Oliver and Charlotte.

A special thank you to the UVA Hope Office and Jennifer Dunnavant, RN; to Dr. Pittard and Danielle Krantz, RN of Lynchburg General; and to Dr. Patricia Pletke of Virginia Baptist English 1 for the wonderful care they provided; her friends from New Life School, Discover the Joy and March Mommies for all their love and support.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 19 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Puckett Funeral Home with the Reverend Gregory Reynolds, Dr. John Ott and the Reverend Rick Caldwell officiating the service.

Family received friends on Thursday, February 18 from 5 p.m.– 8 p.m. at Puckett Funeral Home.
