Roger and Deborah Lundeen are very excited to welcome their first grandchild, a boy, into this world.
Mrs. Flora Bolt, John and Lois Gager, Don and Betty Meadows, T.M. and Liz Manis and Irene Layne met at the home of John and Lois Gager Feb. 9 for their birthday lunch and celebration.
Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Smith enjoyed dinner at La Parota Grill Friday evening.
Mrs. Norma Hertzler, Mrs. Lucy Miller, Mrs. Nancy Pisano and Mrs. Pat Smith traveled together to attend the Women’s Retreat held at Powhatan Mennonite Church on Saturday.
Approximately 20 relatives of the “Kelsey Clan” from the area attended the funeral of James (Sonny) Williams at the Denbigh United Presbyterian Church on Thursday. He was the husband of Nancy Kelsey Williams.
Peggy Kelsey attended the funeral service of her brother-in-law, Tommy Huddleston, on Saturday.
Mrs. Flora Bolt along with Jennifer Bolt, Alexe Moser, Haley Murdock and Payden Murdock, were lunch guests of Mrs. Judy Bolt and her son Chris Bolt.
The Prospect Happy Hats, Hilda Allen, Doris Bellofatto, Jean Covington, Betty Meadows, Margaret Stockton and Elsie Wilson, along with Lois Gager, Don Meadows, Donald Meadows and Richard Stockton, attended the Pancake Supper at the Prospect Volunteer Fire Department sponsored by the Prospect Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary on Saturday. Jean Covington left very happy as she was one of the door prize winners.
Friends and neighbors are praying for a speedy recovery for Lena Rose Huddleston, Hilda and Scott Friend, Elfrieda Kerns, Betty Jean Bolt and Mildred Harvey Shanks.

Appomattox PE Presbyterian Church members have announced they will sponsor the Stop Hunger Now Program in October. Barbara Mason will be the coordinator.
