Friends of the Farmville-Prince Edward Library serve our community

The Friends of the Farmville-Prince Edward Community Library do a tremendous amount for our community. Through events, fundraisers and their volunteerism, the members better life for many through their work in supporting the library. The friends group recently installed a Free Little Library at the 460 Mart in Prospect. The little library is filled with books for community use, where residents leave a book after they take one. The project also seeks to serve as a resource for the underserved and underprivileged. Pictured are, from left, Gary Paris, who installed the library for free, county Supervisor Calvin Gray, librarian Peggy Epperson, Friends group chair Vicky Page, county Supervisor Howard Simpson and Friends group program committee chair Karen Shinabeck. We commend the friends group for all it does for our community. (Send ‘Way to Go’ photos with names and a description to waytogo@farmvilleherald.com.)
