BUCKINGHAM — More information has been released on a crash reported on Monday on U.S. Route 15 in Buckingham during Winter Storm Olympia.
The crash involved three vehicles, said state police spokeswoman Corinne Geller. The crash occurred less than a mile south of Route 756 at 12:41 p.m.
The crash injured five people, Geller said.
“A 2006 Kia Sorento was traveling north on Route 15 when it lost control, crossed the centerline and struck a southbound 2006 Nissan Maxima. The impact caused the Nissan to run off the east side of the highway and overturn over an embankment. Meanwhile, the Kia continued north on Route 15 where it struck a southbound 1995 Acura Legend. The Kia and Acura ran off opposite sides of Route 15 and came to rest there,” she said.
Wesley J. Davenport, of Buckingham, the driver of the Sorento, was charged with driving too fast for highway and traffic conditions “due to the slick conditions at the time of the crash,” Geller said.
All reported injuries were minor, she said.
