FARMVILLE — Ty Eggleston and Alani Walton have been named winners of The Farmville Herald’s Junior Globetrotter contest.

Eggleston and Walton were among many youth who entered the contest, explaining why they wanted to be Junior Globetrotters, according to Herald Sports Editor Hannah Davis.

“We had wonderful entries, but Eggleston and Walton’s stood out as the best,” she said.

Both children will get to sit on the bench with the Harlem Globetrotters on Wednesday during their performance at Longwood University.

The two will also receive a prize pack that includes a family four-pack of tickets, meet-and-greet, Globetrotter t-shirt and autographed basketball.
